DIVING DEEP
-1:24 tells us that Paul is rejoicing in the midst of suffering. Can you think of a time you rejoiced in the middle of a hard time?
-In 2:3-4, Paul contrasts clever speech and true wisdom. How do we make sure we are telling the truth and not deceiving someone with our own slants and bias?
-Paul encouraged a church he has never been to. He’s never talked to most of these people face to face. Yet his words encouraged them. How do we encourage people from a distance? Is it even possible?
