DIVING DEEP
-God talked to Jacob in a dream. Do you think God still speaks through dreams? What are the dangers and benefits of relying on dreams for guidance?
-Read Genesis 28:15. It sounds like a comforting promise but there’s a catch. “I will not leave you until…” Until? Does God leave us? What do you think this verse means?
-How does Jacob’s vow (v 20-22) strike you: mere bargaining chip, unworthy of God? Or growing trust, apropos for Jacob? Or conversion event, radical for Jacob?
